[4] Whitney Houston, 'It's Not Right But It's Okay'

I’d bought one Whitney Houston single before- ‘I Wanna Dance With Somebody’- but I don’t even remember liking it.  I must have bought it to impress some fresh-faced girl co-starring with me in the local amateur dramatics show.  Dear me, too many confessions.fficeffice" />

Anyway, after that ‘I Will Always Love You’ musical crime, I certainly didn’t expect to hurtle out to the shops for more Whitney goods.  But this redeemed her mortal soul.  A razor-sharp, calm look at infidelity, set to an unusually syncopated r’n’b rhythm, it found a new cutting edge beyond the cutting edge.  La ffice:smarttags" />Houston was vital again.  She cleared a little space for ‘Get Ur Freak On’.

Ignoring Dad’s suggestion that the title sounded like Roy Walker letting a Catchphrase contestant down easily, Junior did some appreciative shoulder shakes and crawled around the room like a ninja arachnid.  She gives Whitney a clean slate.

this was another Dolly one wasn't it?

(16.5.06 16:36)
Certainly not. Nothing against Dolly per se, but that 'I Will Always Love You' sounds like a threat.

(16.5.06 16:53)
Godawful shite of the worst kind.
If it had been by Roy Walker it would have been better.

(16.5.06 16:54)
This time you're wrong, Roderick. About the first bit, anyway.

(16.5.06 17:00)
I don't know which part of my deluded brain that idea came from.

(16.5.06 17:22)
Oh yes - I like this one. I'm a bit of a sucker for Whitney because she really can sing when she's not coked up to the eyeballs, but I like the fact that this is a bit different from her usual big belting style.

(16.5.06 18:26)
I'm with Roderick, can't stand this tune. Actually, come to think of it, I can't stand Whitney in general.

(17.5.06 09:26)
Oh, alright. I suppose you can all have your opinions.

She's rubbish the rest of the time.

(17.5.06 11:57)
Credit card reciepts do not specify how many people ate dinner. And what if some of the others had paid cash? Whitney's paranoid. (And total shit).
